What is the difference between a preservative and an antioxidant?

 

preservative is WATER-BASED and is used to keep bacteria/mold/mildew/fungi from growing in water.

An antioxidant is OIL-BASED and isused to slow down rancidity in oils.

PRESERVATIVES AND ANTIOXIDANTS ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!

Organic, What Does it Really Mean?

As a small business, we strive to ensure  that we are acting responsibly and ethically not only in the production  but also the marketing of our products.
As such, it  becomes frustrating for us to see terms thrown around by other small  business soap manufacturers that we can tell are just not accurate.  Specifically the term Organic.
While we know what to expect (maybe) with our organic foods, there is little regulation enforcement in the beauty care industry.
Remember,  just using organic supplies DOES NOT make an organic soap.  Please  remember to ask questions of anyone making such claims with your beauty  products.

Father's - A Lesson Learned

With Father's Day right around the corner, I obviusly find myself thinking about my parents, especially my father.  I know it is said that Fathers and their daughters have a special bond.  I firmly believe this.   As I reflect though, I find it interesting the way our relationships change with our parents as we age (notice I don't say mature :D)
