Hmmm Did you know?

Finding Time to think

So I am at HP Discover this week in Las Vegas.. The kickoff was Monday and the closing ceremony is tonight (with a Cheryl Crow/Don Henley concert that I will miss since I am flying out on a red eye tonight).

I have sessions ongoing throughout the day, each day, and while most of them are not trememdously worth while, the ability to speak with vendors and other people from around the globe in IT has been valuable.

For me, and I suspect it would be for others, the best part of the week in Vegas is not the warm...

Customer Service - lessons learned

A couple days ago, I left home at an ungodly hour of the morning to begin a journey to Las Vegas for an IT conference (my day job).  I haven't had to fly for business in several years, so I was wondering what has changed (I used to go out of town frequently).

I sent a few pics off to a photographer friend of...

Mackenzie, Nic & I are in Pennsylvania visiting my father, stepmother, sister and her family.  My neice, Hannah, is along for the ride.  It's always a great visit, late nights, laughing, tons of eating and some shopping all...

Triclosan - in the news

From our Special Chem partners - here is their article recently about Triclosan - an ingredient used in MANY consumer products..

TORONTO, ON -- The first data on levels of the chemical triclosan were released recently to reveal widespread body pollution in Canadian adults. Seven of eight people tested had the antibacterial chemical in their bodies-with levels higher than those toxic to fish and algae.

Environmental Defence, which conducted the test, says the high prevalence of the chemical means it's time to ban it from household use. This backs up an earlier call from the...
